Carsten Pieper This one's been on the wishlist for far too long so I took this next Bandcamp-thank-you-friday as the opportunity to support another independent artist (who regularly puts out benefit releases, btw).
He has been called a Genesis clone and has been hired as current Camel keyboarder / sax player for a reason. So you get the direction, this music goes. He's a competent multi-instrumentalist with a great voice (that can easily emulate any Genesis singer so far) and a knack for The Melody.

Per Bjarne Pete Jones is by far the best multi-musician I can think of, Hygge is so incredibly beautiful that I get tears in my eyes every time I hear it, The Ballad of Longshanks John is super too.
The whole album is hit after hit in progressive rock. Favorite track: Hygge.

Sven B. Schreiber I've hesitated a long time before purchasing my first Pete Jones album, because he's got quite some ambiguous reputation as a "Genesis" epigone. Well, after listening closely to "The Depths of Winter", I think this suspicion isn't really substantiated. Granted, he clearly draws on the 70's symphonic rock heritage, but not to a greater extent than many others counted among the typical representatives of the neo-prog genre. While this album contains a couple of tracks that I won't listen to very frequently, this is more than compensated by overwhelming monster ballads like my favorite track "Hygge". Pete Jones' voice is outstanding, and Mark Wardle's occasional brass arrangements are an additional pleasure. Favorite track: Hygge.
